How long before you noticed a change?
« on: December 08, 2008, 11:38:08 AM »
I was wondering, for those of you using Trade Pulse for longer periods of time (i.e. beta testers, early adopters) how long was it before you noticed an increase in traffic?

I have a site which I've been putting a LOT of work into, because I have had drastically lower traffic over the last year or so.  I've got a fresh new design, lots of new content, and now over the weekend I switched from ATX to Trade Pulse.  Granted, it's only been a few days, but my traffic is still remaining the same.  For the last 24 hours, I am seeing 42k in, prod 131%, and trade return 81%.  This is not good.  Before I switched, my ATX stats were right at around 40k, and prod was 125-140%.  So there has been very little change so far.  This used to be a 120k a day site.

How long does it take to see things improve with this script?

The site is http://www.pornstar-paradise.com, in case anyone has any suggestions.

Well, tradepulse is script still in development,so not sure can it beat atx yet.You may review your atx details like dynamic skim,if i am not wrong atx by default if trade drops to certain value it lowers skim to 50.
Also tradepulse have option for better dynamic skim and custom trade algorythim,so you may try to play with that. And if you have different trades like different niche or different thumb size you could also try forbidden trades feature which should improve your outgoing productivity. My prod/traffic was increased from 20 to 300 percent but i think that is beacuse i was using ept and progress tm as previous script which is much inferior script compared to this one while atx is completly different story.

Considering that ATX is industry TOP SCRIPT(maybe not in features, but in algo for sure), even same traffic is GREAT RESULT for TradePulse...and remember Trade Script is TOOL, and in TradePulse you have many extra features you don't have in other scripts!

Something I noticed about your site... your thumbs and site images load very very slow for me. I just timed it and it took over 3 minutes to load. I guarantee this is affecting your prod and return. I don't know what your server setup is... but I use a seperate web server for my thumbs (on the same box). We currently run lighttpd and I use it to load all images...

Thanks for the heads up... as a matter of fact, I am using the same setup as you, except I have it spread out over two separate servers, both running lighttpd for thumbs.  So I doubt it's the server, although I am very concerned that it is loading slow.  It loads very fast for me at home, and in fact right now I'm out of town, trying from a completely different location, and it loads relatively fast for me here too.

Where are you located?  Is anyone else seeing this slow loading?  Please check for me...
