Strange history stats
« on: December 06, 2008, 08:08:54 AM »
Hi

Have been using TP for a couple of days now but got a few questions.

Question 1
I switched one of my sites to TP a couple of days ago but I see some strange history stats.
Before the tradescript switch my site was ~4k/day in size. When I check Overall stats for last 24h the total in is also ~4k so that looks fine.

However when I check the history for last 7 days I see this:

Date Total IN Bookmark IN Trade OUT Total Clicks Total Prod Trade Prod
04 Dec 10828 370 9478 23536 217 91 (day I switched script)
05 Dec 38638 910 29845 68689 178 79
06 Dec 9694 334 8092 19216 198 86 (today's stats so not finished)

According to this I had 10k total in the day I switched and 38k yesterday. That would have been cool if those numbers were true  ;D
Why do I see these high numbers in history?

Question 2
My main page have always been tgp.shtml so when I used ATX people were asked to send to http://www.mysite.com/tgp.shtml
In TP general settings for 'URL to send traffic' it's says:

"ATTENTION! Specify only http://www.yoursite.com/
NOT the http://www.yoursite.com/somepage.html"

So I have set this to http://www.mysite.com/ as specified, and then in the General settings 'In' tab I have typed 'tgp.shtml' in the 'Default main page' field.
Is this the correct way I have done it? My stats are counting and seems normal so I guess it is, but just want to be 100% sure.

Question 3
Besides my main page 'tgp.shtml' I also have a warning page 'index.shtml' and a video page 'mgp.shtml'.
Should I add <!--#include virtual="/tp/ssi_in.php"--> to my index.shtml and mgp.shtml pages as well?

Question 4
One of my sites with Trade Expert I use some self-hosted galleries which includes toplists with my trades too.
On those I use <!--#include virtual="/cgi-bin/te/in.cgi?p=gallery" --> for tracking. Is there something similar in TP?

My noref seems to be ok when looking at their history.. at least the numbers are not that high.

Trade Stats for noref_in: 29 Nov'08 - 06 Dec'08

Date IN OUT Clicks to trade Total Clicks Prod
04 Dec 0 0 0 0 0
05 Dec 160 0 0 279 174
06 Dec 418 0 0 724 173
Totals 578 0 0 1003 174

1) We are fixing it
2) Use http://www.yoursite.com/somepage.html
3) Yes, add it to all pages, TP is by default setuped to track multi-pages
4) You  can't manually set page but you can always check detailed stats of each trades or of all traffic and U will see what they visited and when.

I hope I helped :)

Thanks helped a lot  :)

Except question 2 where I am now confused since it in script it say "NOT the http://www.yoursite.com/somepage.html"
In Settings -> General -> URL to send traffic (domain root)  you want me to use http://www.mysite.com/tgp.shtml then?

And in that case what should I use in Settings -> In -> Default main page ? still tgp.shtml as I use now?

Yep it should do the trick...for default page in settings/in make index.html,index.php or whatever is your primary index filename.
