Not happy with the quality of the thumb grabber

This is what Trade Pulse creates

And this is what Smart Thumbs creates using the same imagemagick command

The command I'm using for both is
-filter Blackman -modulate 109,100,100 -sharpen 1x1 -enhance

The quality of the Smart Thumbs thumb is sharper and brighter.
