User name $ password
« on: March 03, 2012, 03:55:24 AM »
Hello,

I just installed TP again with the usual user and pass I had before. now the problem is that I cannot login with this info because the script does not recognize user and pass.

where does TP store user and pass info on the server, or how can I change user and pass again?

thanks

Hi,
the only you can is set default login/pass, just put
Code: [Select]
admin:696d29e0940a4957748fe3fc9efd22a3

If you installed new version over the old vesrion, perhaps you have IP whitelist settings there. If so, delete/rename  tp/data/settings/auth_ip_white_list.set

I deleted the old version while back, this was a new install.

auth_ip_white_list.set file contains no IP, or any other value. does the file need to be 777?

I am still not be able to login

I renamed auth_ip_white_list.set file to auth_ip_white_list.set.bk

now I am logged in and I am getting this message:

Important notice
It looks like your tp/data/ folder is accessible for everyone.
It's SERIOUS SECURITY HOLE and must be solved asap! IF you are using Nginx webserver, ask your server support to protect 'tp/data' folder for accessing from the web.

user name / pass is the default one and I won't change this until the hosting support looks at it. I have xxxhostit.

now what does auth_ip_white_list.set file do? can you add the leading 1st 3 digits for any IPs? ie, 102.205.003.067 - is 102. enough?
