spiders traffic
« on: December 03, 2011, 08:40:53 AM »
Hi,
How can  i prevent from SE spiders to be sent to my trades ? i dont want to redirect them but just to prevent them to be sent to trades because it messes my trades in/out ratios.
At settings ---> out there is a "TABLE OF SPECIALIZED OUT SETTINGS"  , spiders aint listed there.

Thanks in advance

-Elron

Set new skim scheme with 100% to content and assign it to spiders trade (in edit popup window).

LMK how it goes, cheers.

Done.
What's going to be the result if the trade gets a p=50 value on the out url , from a trade scheme that is set to 100 ?

i was thinking to edit the 'spider' trade at "Forbidden domains" and mark all the trades but the 'spiders' trade doesn't have this option.

Ok, i fixed it by unchecking spiders from being counted traffic and then i set the 'not counted' to go to content url.

Ok, nice idea. Only problem is now all traffic after 10 clicks will not get skimmed also since that is original intention for notcounted.

More than half of my posts are about "spiders"
Ever since it was introduced all it caused was trouble
Messing up with the outs, messing up with the skim...
Now i have learned to live with it

Hi to everyone.
99.99% of spiders are nocookie also. So if you move your nocookies out of trade, you'll move spiders as well.
But here is no any difficulty for me to add 'spiders' to the 'TABLE OF SPECIALIZED OUT SETTINGS', if you want it.

I'm having problem with spider traffic as well. I had you look into my admin a few days ago and I set it to noskim 100% to content like you suggested but it is still going to trades.
Also, I have many hits to no_link and every outgoing has a link specified on my site.
I would like a way to stop spider traffic from messing up my stats.
