Chkmod questions
« on: January 14, 2011, 12:16:02 PM »
hi,

My server admin says all .php files have to be chkmod to 644 to work. Now, I know TP wont run with all .php files chkmod to 644. I set the toplist.php to 777, as well as the in.php that is counting incomings. Question: which are the files that MUST be set to 777 in order for TP to function correctly? Please do not say all, because as I said that is impossible with this host. And no, I won't change host. Looks like though it all works correctly only the toplist at the bottom of the page does not seem to update?

Thanks!

B.

Gotta build my own dedicated server.  :o  Or is there a TP version that can run specifically in shared hosting environment?

U can use shared host which allows 777 permissions and that can solve the trick.
