Trade Pulse Support / Minimize TP load?

We have several TP installations on same server, and it seems we've reached the maximum capacity as TP creates a huge amount of files on our server and other scale problems.

Here are some snippets from host support:

" I'm working on clearing out a few large cache directories (1 million+ files), as well as putting a proxying/caching server in front of a few of your high-traffic sites. We'll get things back up as quickly as we can, but unfortunately *sitename.com* is receiving more traffic than *server* can currently handle."

" We've alleviated a lot of the disk problems on *server*, now we're seeing a great deal of load from your TradePulse script performing DNS queries for every single hit. This is causing Apache processes to back up and crashing the system."

"The problems are two-fold though.  The first is memory consumption by Apache due to the size the tradepulse scripts grow to.  The second are the huge amount of "cache" files tradepulse is creating on disk - thus pegging disk I/O right now."

I wanted to know if it is possible to limit or minimize the cache creating, and also know what can be done about the DNS queries? Are there any TP settings we can tweak?
We want to continue using TP as it's a great program for our needs, so hopefully we can come up with a solution.

Trade Pulse Support / Strange email notifications

I'm beginning to get some strange email notifications from domains/sites I did not install TP on.

Here's an example:

if you got a minute please check your TradePulse @ socks72.com
your productivity falled at 50%
you might want to check whats the reason for it

Server time: Oct 28'09, 11:05

Another one:

if you got a minute please check your TradePulse @ proxyjudge1.proxyfire.net
your productivity falled at 50%
you might want to check whats the reason for it

Server time: Nov 2'09, 11:16

What would cause this? Should I be worried?

The tradepulse install program is adding a iframe from something funky.

When you make new license codes you see it in the source all the way at the bottom.

Trade Pulse Feature Requests / Random thumb toplist

No matter what kind of setting I choose to display my thumb image toplists, there are always certain trades that dominate.

It would be cool if it was possible to just have the toplist output/filter be totally random, so you can also get smaller trades to be showcased once in awhile.

A random option in the "Sorted by" filter, would certainly be something I could use, and I hope you guys would find it usefull as well.

Trade Pulse Bug Reports / Thumbnail grabber bug

Following up on this thread I made in the other section: http://forum.scriptpulse.com/index.php/topic,537.0.html

Didn't get a reply through email, so after some extensive analyzing I found that it's most likely a filename problem with the thumbs.

TradePulse seems to ignore/error thumbs with capital letters in the filenames - or perhaps a mix of small/large letters.
Our script creates thumbfilenames with a mix of small/large letters, and everytime a large letter is present in the filename TradePulse ignores that thumb.

Can you confirm this, and if so, do you think you'll release a patch/upgrade?

Trade Pulse Support / Thumbs grabber problem

I have a problem with the thumbs grabber.

It picks the thumbs from the external sites toplist NOT the actual video preview thumbs of the site..

The vid thumbs are 200x150 - the toplists are 150x122 - if I set the Minimal thumbs sizes to 200x150 it still picks the 150x122...

Is there a way to prepare the video thumbs of the external site to be grabbed by tradepulse?

I run the external sites as well, so no problem in specifying exact values so the thumbs grabber actually grab the correct thumbs.

Trade Pulse Support / Non-adult skim?

Hi, I was wondering if tradepulse free version is possible to use on non-porn sites.

When I install, I have the option to choose nonadult niche - where is the 1% skim going on such a site?

Hopefully not to porn sites
