I have been messing with this for too long... reading the manuals, getting help from my webiste host...

TP is installed but something likely very small, somewhere, is not set up correctly.

So... I'm offering $15 paypal to someone trustworthy for the quick job at this point because I am done... and I need to finally get my web site running.

PM me if you can help or shoot an e-mail over to back_2_ebayy@hotmail.com

TP needs 777 permission to work. There is no way around it I have been in the same boat myself. Switch to host that allow 777. Dreamhost for instance is good in this respect. 755 will not work.

Anyone know of a good host that allows 777?  I can't believe I just asked about 10 hosts and it was no go for all of them.

Please recommend someone.  Thanks

I recently built my first adult site:  http://www.sluthaven.com

I have elected to use the tradepulse free trade script because the general consensus is that it's good and easy to use.

So, here is my situation:

1. I have installed Tradepulse properly at www.sluthaven.com/tp/

2. My CHMOD settings were set up with help from my website host, they don't allow 777 so I am using permission 755 instead... This could be the source of the problem, but since a lot of hosts do not allow 777, I'm sure there is a way around this.

3. I added a "test" trade site (used bunnyteens.com) by filling out the form, etc, and it shows up on my Inactive Trade Stats list (even though I manually set the status to Active)

4. I tried to test a Link Out to bunny teens normally, it works.  Tried to send a link out with the Variations shown below, and the only thing it does is kick back a blank white page every time.

<a href='tp/out.php?to=bunnyteens.com&link=top'>
<a href='tp/out.php?to=http://www.bunnyteens.com&link=top'>
<a href='tp/out.php?to=bunnyteens&link=top'>  (the WM nick for the site)
<a href='tp/out.php?to=Bunny%20Teens&link=top'> (the "site name")

Nothing works.

5. I thought this was related to the fact that my toplist is not configured by default(?) so I went to Tools > Toplist, entered some code from the example into the template form on the page, clicked 'Submit' and it fired back with these errors:

http://www.sluthaven.com/toplist_20110413135317.pdf

All problems point to toplist.php.  Seems to me it wants to write(?) to toplist.php but it cannot with permissions to the file set to 755 and this is preventing me from going any further.

----

And if I understand the toplist MUST be set up for scriptpulse to work, so I'm hitting a brick wall here and I am in desperate need of support to get my site going... and frankly I'm lost.

Has anyone here been in the same boat?

Thanks to all for reading.
