Tried that too

Personally I think it is the host. It has taken 3 days to get someone to do something about it.
They have now locked the public_html to prevent permissions returning too 777 and this seems to have worked.

I have been having ongoing issues with my public_html changing to 777 and bringing my site down.
My host has just advised my that these 2 files contain chmod commands, which could be the cause of the problem.

./public_html/tp/graph/jpgraph.php
./public_html/tp/img.php

Can any one offer any advice, I'm pulling my hair out changing the settings back every 10 mins

I'm getting a 500 internal server error when clicking on thumbs.
Does this sound like a server issue or misconfiguration?
using v3, template 3 Galleries added as url|thumb|description but no text or link appears under the thumb.
Any help would be appreciated, cheers

Yes, it's the server. I had the same issue try CHMOD to 755
