Title: TP Version 1.0.6 build 30
Post by: Kildoozer on September 14, 2011, 06:09:44 AM
The most important reason of this release is security improvements.
From now on all files related to updates will be storred on Amazon S3 server, where are no any executable scripts, forums, ftp accesses etc.

- Small security improvements in some files.
- New system trader 'spiders' has been added.  It will show stats for spiders like googlebot, baidu, yahoo and much more.
- Bug with toplist settings 'allowed statuses for toplist' has fixed.
- more small bugs have fixed also.

Additionally, we want to say special thanks to Hrvoje Spoljar from Reflected Networks for his BIG help to us!

I already had a problem and was told to do this:

Create empty file: tp / data / settings / done_cache_rebuild

And it had worked. but now I do not know what to do

how do I BAN baidu and other chinese spiders from my TP?
I don't want to have 20k uniques/day from baidu counted... I tried to add rules on the IN to redirect the BAIDU traffic, but it is still being counted...
this has completely FUCKED UP MY STATS!!

Here is several ways to help you:
1. Use robots.txt  - google will help with this.
2. Use redirects settings for out.php  - 'Redirect by User Agent' - redirect 'baidu' to another url.
3. Out settings -> COUNTED CLICKS -> Spiders -> Outs (to a trade) = off. Outs from spiders won't be counted as trades outs, your TRADE stats will be OK.
4. Out settings -> TABLE OF SPECIALIZED OUT SETTINGS -> nocookie traffic = [Traffic URL] - away from trade.

the biggest problem is not with the OUT traffic but with the IN traffic... spiders are being counted... and are getting over 22k uniques/days

How can I simply NOT COUNT THE SPIDERS TRAFFIC?
I don't want to count googlebot or any other spider's traffic... and I don't want to block google yahoo and bing from spidering my site...
I SIMPLY DON'T WANT THAT  TRAFFIC TO BE COUNTED ON THE IN COMING OR THE OUT GOING TRAFFIC

What's the problem to see their stats in 'notcounted' section?
Disallow /tp/out.php in your robots.txt

@Kildoozer
Maybe because the "notcounted" out hits are added to the $TradeHout variable and therefore affecting the skim?

It was fixed several builds ago, isn't it?

well i m using the latest build (build 39) and it's still adding notcounted outs to $TradeHout
feel free to take a look at my admin area to see for yourself Kildoozer
I believe you have my login info. I also wouldnt mind if you would like to experiment with it.
Maybe settings work differently in a real site than the experimental site you use for your tests

I've banned the spider, but it is still being counted... as IN and as OUt traffic... if you want I can send you the login info for this website and you can check on your own... even after banned those spiders from my entire website via robots.txt they are still going in (I banned the spiders also their IP on TP, but that probably only works for banning them from SIGNING UP as a trade...)
as you can see the fact that the SPIDERS traffic is being counted as IN TRAFFIC is ruining my production... and the fact that they are going out from my website to other websites will probably ruin my traffic trade with them...
my website was not big but had steady 1k traffic, with a good production, since I have upgraded TP a few weeks ago this website was COMPLETELY RUINED (I wonder how my other sites that had even less traffic are "feeling" right now)...
