Title: How to install TP for TGP in a subdirectory?

OK, so I have a TGP running from a subdirectory: http://www.mydomain.com/subdir/

Can someone please tell me how exactly to install TP in a case like that?
I am aware that the install.php file should be uploaded and ran from the domain root, i.e. mydomain.com
But should I have the 'tp' dir and it's files installed in my domain root or in my subdir??

instead to root, create/upload to subdirectory. problem solved.
