Title: Sites skimming from TP
Post by: Bob Lynch on November 26, 2013, 08:05:10 AM
I don't mind the skim for a free trade script, but some of these sites should be banned (the ones that say your browser has been locked, FBI, etc.) IE: bzstht.10surance.com

Are you sure its TP skim? We send to avatraffic and some private sites and there is no such domain - buyers on AvaTraffic.

I don't know what else it could be. Could one of my trades be somehow redirecting to these sites? If so, is there a way to check?

I have noticed this also recently. I will confirm it is indeed an avatraffic site.
It is problematic in the fact that it employs javascript making it impossible to close the page without killing the browser process. Annoying at best.

For a quick fix you can add the following your HOSTS file

## Redirect all traffic intended for avatraffic.com -> localhost ##
127.0.0.1   avatraffic.com

We've been noticing this as well. I can confirm that it is Ava Traffic where these are coming from.

I have been speaking with them about it, not sure if they will be removing them. But, I've been stopping them within my account, however that doesn't help the 2% skim from the free version.

I was just testing a few of my sites out and the free version skim is being sent to some outrageous sites.

If the first click on any thumb is literally disabling the clients browser or infecting his machine then I would say it is a very serious issue.

Please do something about this! Been happy with TP but if this does not get removed soon will have to change scripts! A page that locks the browser and claiming you been surfing illegal porn is totally unacceptable! The damage that its doing is immense! Scaring the surfer into thinking they have been logged by the police and locking the browser in a way that to get rid of it is to reboot the computer! Drop ava if you have to or you will not have a business left!

This has really gone on for far too long. Every day it's a new illegal browser locking site like http://gbhpolices.biz/parabola.html

I have about 50 sites still running TP and the only reasons I haven't changed them is that I didn't have the time. But seeing as this is costing any chance of sales or SEO I will have to start moving them over the weekend.

... and another one I found when clicking thru some of my thumbs...http://policefly.com/zigzag.html which disappeared after a few clicks of the "leave this page" box but like shoplifter, getting ones that are more agressive that locks the browser, my was a different variation to shoplifters link...

http://security-dddgbkip-chk.in/js?t=53616c7465645f5fce3b809e33a0c09985df462443499d4e08911ae9dd47759b093f6dbc49251d9ca177b20ef9f9fc950b822ab29291d2ea    ...so it has not been removed from skim in the script!
