Title: Slow loading sites and high load

Who can help me and my host figure out why TP seems to create a high load and my sites to all load slow?  I've been adding it to more of my sites and its very noticeable now how slow the index pages load!

are you on dedicated server? or at least on Virtual Private Server?

oh yea it's a dedicated server.  I had similar problem a year or two ago when I ran it on just one site but someone here tweaked it I think.  Obviously there is something wrong but no idea what.

I'm not official TP support but have you tried server overload protection?

I set mine to only 5 at once and I just use the /tmp directory.  It uses the that directory to keep track of which ones are running at given moment so I think  you need to make sure all installs have it set otherwise it won't be as effective.  I'd guess this is what someone set up for you before and if you added new sites chances are maybe you didn't add this to the new ones?
