Title: search robot hits increase my site productivity
Post by: bbhrucy79 on April 15, 2011, 01:59:23 AM
I have dynamic scheme, basically the better the 24 hour global prod. is, the friendlier is the skim. But I see that 'nocookie' clicks influenced the scheme. I check my site, it has 175% 24 hour global prod. I am like: wow thats good. Then I check, it's f....ng hitbots. And the problem is that this triggered my dynamic scheme to 'super friendly'. As a result my 'real' prod. dropped big time.

Is there a way to exclude nocookie from the algo?? So whatever the numbers are they don't count as traffic?

Please I am still waiting for reply. It's useless to use dynamic skim if it is 'inflated' by the bots.

No its not possible but I would advise set scheme based on return not based on prod!

Same situation there. Overall 24 hr return figure is also messed up by the bots, so if my sites gets a rush of some bot, my overall return will increase, and tp switches to friendly skim (based on my dynamic rules) when it should not. This is a problem and even though I conjured up  a super 7 tier dynamic skim scheme now I have to use static instead. I hate bots! They are a pain!

Well we will fix bots issue in next version by not including them in stats at all(optional).
